Social Events
Man is a social being. And TKE is a social fraternity! With this in mind, TKE's social chair makes sure there's always plenty of events each semester to keep the brothers entertained. Here are a few examples of our social events…
- Grab-A-Dates and Cocktails – Brothers and dates dance the night away at local bars.
- Rush Mixers - It's become tradition to play laser tag with our neighbors in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Other events have included bowling with Sigma Kappa, grilling out with Chi Omega, and sumo wrestling with Delta Gamma.
- Football Tailgates – From cookouts to beer pong, the fairgrounds are bustling all season.
- Themed Events and Band Parties – Toga parties are a staple at most fraternities, while our Annual School Girl Party has become widely recognized on campus. We also have a Trick-or-TKE party each Halloween, as well as numerous band parties throughout the semester.
- Road Trips – Fraters recently visited the Beta-Delta chapter in College Park, Maryland and the Rho-Omega chapter in Columbia, South Carolina.
- Apollo Ball – Alumni and undergrads gather every fall for a homecoming semi-formal.
- Red Carnation Ball – We've been to the House of Blues, Fort Fisher Aquarium, and the Outer Banks recently. This year, our chapter teams up with Beta-Delta (University of Maryland), Mu-Chi (UNC-Wilmington), and Rho-Omega (University of South Carolina) TKE chapters for RCB 2007. We’re taking the Spirit of Norfolk yacht down the Elizabeth River in Norfolk, Virginia, with over 150 Teke’s and their dates.
